Halloween Decorating Part 1 ~

Holiday Decorating Inspiration

Halloween is officially right around the corner and I have started decorating. Today I will show you our family room - spookified!

Here is the shelf in our family room.

I had so much fun incorporating my everyday decor with a little spooky. Do you see the sticks? This is just the beginning of my new stick collection.

I just picked up this skull at a local thrift store for 4 bucks - I just love him stacked on the vintage books!

Here is one of my Dollar Tree projects that I showed your here, and the Toxic sign is also from the Dollar Tree. I simply painted it white and antiqued the edges a bit.

I downloaded this great images from The Graphics Fairy. I just crumpled up the paper and placed them in the vases.

And our mantel - do you see more of my new branch collection? I seriously hunted the greenbelt behind our house. My neighbors are now probably so used to seeing me between the trees - there she goes again! Then I spray painted all of the branches with flat black.

I needed a little filler, so I grabbed these guys.

And a final detail on the fireplace.

I am just tweaking the kitchen a little bit, but will show you shortly!

so cute! I just love the way you incorporated the Halloween ideas in with your 'regular' decor. It is a more subtle touch, but is so effective. Great job!

I love your decorating! I will have to go back to my dollar tree cause I was there last week and didn't see any decorations just tons of candy. Thanks for sharing!

Really well done, gets the point across without overwhelming the decor that you live in. Love the mini skulls filler.

I love the dollar store! I found some of those little skulls also. Love how you put them in with the sticks and of course the crow perched on top!

It all looks absolutely amazing!! I normally never decorate for Halloween but you've inspired me to do so a little something this year! Where did you get the skull filler?

You have such a knack for creating beautiful vignettes and your halloween ones are no exception. I got a lot of great ideas from your pictures. I really like the crumpled images in the glass vases....such a simple but really cool idea.
Thanks for all the inspiration.
