My Last Cloche...For Awhile ~

I went to TJMaxx again yesterday - I know, hold me back. I didn't find anymore crowns, but I did pick up this...

It is an herb terrarium for $14.99 - are you thinking "what"? But once you take it out of the box, you have this nice base -

and a glass dome - making a cute little cloche.

You could add a little Fall to it.

Even put it on a stand (aka candlestick).

And add a cute tag of course.

I am thinking this could also be a great Christmas gift - out of the box - with a cute little personalized tag for the recipient...I mean who doesn't love a cloche? And a Christmas gift for $14.99, not bad!

Nice! I particularly like it sitting atop the candlestick. I am going to have to look for these at my local thrift stores also. Thanks for sharing.

What a terrific idea! A lot of times, people don't think to recreate an object for gift-giving. I think it's a wonderful idea- one I will put to good use this Christmas season! I love the tag you added!

That is cute ~ aged for you and everything! You're right ~ add a tag or some ribbon and make it your own to give as a gift.

Why thank you, I would love to have this for Christmas. I will even pretend I didn't see the price mentioned when I open it.

TJ Maxx is a dangerous place for me, too! And I'm just now reading your post from yesterday, too...I usually don't do anything on the table for Thanksgiving because there is so much food it ends up getting moved!

you really come up with some great ideas!!! How do I get my mind to work this way? I did find a fleur de lis candle jar holder at Bellevue Michael's...I was very excited because it was in the Fall clearance-70% off. I have to ask..when do you find time to make all of your trips to fun stores? Are the twins in school now? If yes, I can't believe it and I need to see them!!! It's been too long.

What a find, I LOVE it. Be sure to save all of your pics for the "Holiday Cloche Party" on Dec.4th. I love everything that you've done with it. I can't wait to see more. Be sure to checkout my blog for all the details if you don't have them already for the party. Hugs, Marty

Just wonderful! Oh, it's very special sitting on top of the stand. Have you done a tutorial on the tags? I know they must be super easy, but what type paper do you print them out on? And those fonts look really fun. Just an idea for a post if I haven't already missed it. ;) ;)

I absolutely LOOOOVVVVVEEEE these. So very beautiful. In fact, when I saw your post the other night, I literally got in the car and drove STRAIGHT to TJ Maxx. Unfortunately, no mini herb terrariums (gonna try the location near my office today at lunch time...) Hope I find one...I really want to try this idea. Love your creativity...you're quite talented. = )
