My Dollar Store Pots...Revisited ~

Do you remember these dollar store pots I picked up a few months ago...

I initially added numbers, but decided to take them another direction.

I started by adding black acrylic paint.

I then added a little gold - Decoart Metallic Paint in Glorious Gold.

I then decided to age them up a bit with a little glaze.

I love how they turned out!

I was digging around in one of my "craft" drawers and found these.

What do you think? With or without the fleur?

Love these! Are they plastic? That touch of gold is perfect.

They are just amazing! Very high end looking too. Put a dollar store and a creative person, like yourself, together and just look at what happens:)You have inspired me to check out the dollar store here.

Wow wow wow. These look exactly like Mackenzie Child's ceramics, which would cost about $45 for one piece. They look amazing!

They're lovely! Would you believe I have the matching dollar store trash bin to those? I bought it a few years ago, but now I'm wanting to paint mine too!

OMG, these are great, Chelsea! You had me when you added the black acrylic paint! : ) Love 'em and I think you could do one with and the rest without. I think it makes for a nice trio to display as you show here.

These are absolutely STUNNING!

I can't wait to try the DecoArt metallic paints. I've been using the modeling paste but have to give that paint a try.

I am inspired!!!!

So glad I stopped in today.
