Cabinet Door Transformation ~

I have had these cabinet doors sitting in my garage for way too long.

So, I grabbed them and started by giving them a good sand -

I then painted on a layer of the Ralph Lauren Regent Metallics in Bronze Statue.

After it was completely dry, I put on layer of Behr black. Before it was completely dry, I wiped off the black in a few areas so the bronze would show through.

Here was our entry before -

and after -

I like how it added more weight to the sconces.

Oh, how I love these sconces!

They look great!! It really added something to the area with the layering. Now I know what to do if I come across something like these at a garage sale!!

I LOVE your sconces too! And I wish I could find a cute faux olive tree like you have. You did a great job with the doors. I never would have thought of using bronze and black. They look really great!

Great idea, Chelsea! I was thinking it added height there, too. Nice backdrop for the plants as well.

I LOVE the symmetry... mirrors behind the window panes would be awesome too... I wish I had stuff like that laying around my garage.

What a great transformation. I'm jealous that I don't have cabinet doors like that sitting in my garage. Thanks for sharing this inspiring project! Rebecca
