Well the car got a paint job...
and then the tires got changed out and the whole thing got "antiqued".

The gel stain was drying a bit too quickly, and it ended up too dark. What can I say - you win some, you lose some. This would be in the loss column. All this canvas needs now is a bit of gesso to become something completely new and better.Now I am thinking something like this...

I did create this painting. I took one of my son's favorite matchbox cars and traced the silhouette. I then enlarged the image and started painting. I must say the "idea" of the finished product was a little different that the actual painting. That said, I still might try and "fix" the painting by lightening up a the brown colors. We will see...
