Another Easter Egg Project ~

So I am clearly  on an Easter egg kick this week - somebody hold me back!  Here is another egg I created by using one of the $1 eggs from Micheals.

And a little bit of the same paper from earlier this week,

A little Royal Coat Decoupage again,

And to mix things up, I grabbed my hot glue gun and attached some Spanish Moss,

and a little bit more,

Until he was in need of a hair cut.

I then added some ribbon, a tag and of course a crown to top it off.

Be Inspired Link Party ~

Here are a few inspiring ideas from the party last week -

Karla at It's the Little Things That Make a House a Home it super clever and created this new piece of furniture using her daughter's existing dresser and

the hutch in her kitchen.

Tanya at Percolating Projects took this chair
and transformed it into this!

And Kathy at Creative Home Expressions took this dollar store candle holders

and with a little Mod Podge and some graphics from The Background Fairy, she created these.

Okay, the Party Rules:
1. Select any project that YOU created that you think will inspire someone else.
2. Add a link of your post to the party - make sure it is a link to the specific post not your blog.
3. Give a short description of your project so we can all see what your are highlighting.
4. Please add a link to this party in your post so everyone can head over and join in the fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day (I have never actually had a green beer - this might be the year)!

Egg Inspiration ~

I was recently inspired by these eggs that Joan at Anything Goes Here linked up to Be Inspired.

So I picked up these .99 cent plastic Easter eggs at Micheal's last week.

I used Royal Coat Decoupage Finish to glue paper onto the outside of one of the eggs.

I can't seem to find the next photo, so here it is with the paper "decoupaged" on and a little bow.

For the bow I took a little ribbon and some jewels to finish it off.

I really like how it turned out - and for .99 cents, I LOVE it!

Thanks Joan for the great inspiration!

Goodwill Finds ~

Here are a few of my latest and greatest Goodwill finds.
I have been on the hunt for a round accent table for our family room and everything I love just happens to be way too expensive. So image my delight when I spotted this lovely table for just $14.99! Now it needs a little lovin' - but with a new finish (either a darker stain or maybe black) it will be perfect.

I love how chunky these candlesticks are - they were $1.99, $2.99 and you guessed it $3.99.

And I love this little dish. It matches my "cake stands" I made a few months ago perfectly. I have recently learned it is called boopie glass. I just love the base.

So stayed tuned for the fabulous transformation of that great, and cheap, round table! And does anyone have any great tips on how to strip this?
Look at all of these groves and angles!

Heirloom White Spring Bird ~

I took this red bird (that I think was originally green when I bought it)

 and painted it Heirloom White.
I then used a little Shanty2Chic Ralph Lauren glaze to add a little bit of depth.

I then added a pedestal and a bow, but wasn't in love with the look...

So I created a little nest for the guy

and perched he went.

I love it!

Be Inspired Link Party ~

Here are a few more great ideas from last weeks party:

The Craft Monkey took these -

and made great wall art with photos textured with Mod Podge.

Cinnaberry Suite took these stacking hat boxes -

And transformed them with some fun pink spray paint and some very cool labels.

Nikki's Nifty Knacks created Ballard Designs inspired wall letters -

with muslin, $1 foam wreaths and $1 letters.
