In my defense - I was sick, the family was sick and now I am 5 days into a much.needed.family.vacation.

I am basking in the mid 70s with hubby and kiddos in beautiful La Quinta, California. I am on my third book, have officially lost track of the days and have seen my hubby smile...check that, smiling. (And it is an amazing smile).

Much Needed Vacation ~

So my darling hubby and I decided to surprise the kiddos with a 10 day vacation in Palm Springs! Of course, we have booked this bad boy weeks ago, it was exciting for all of us to hop on the plane - especially since the kids thought we were off to run errands. The look on this kiddos faces were priceless! And tomorrow we are surprising them with 2 days at Disneyland...I can't wait to hear the screams of joy (at 6am)!

I am off to play in the pool with the kiddos, get engrossed in a fabulous book and completly live in the moment...in 100 degree weather!

Heading Home ~

We are heading home from a fantastically relaxing family vacation. We are packing our suitcases and taking advantage of the our last few hours in the sun. It is always hard when, what seemed to be a long vacation at the the beginning, has come to an end - but at the same time, it is always nice to head home, get back in the swing of things and sleep in your own bed!

We are off to Palm Springs (well technically La Quinta) tomorrow! SO excited...relaxing, swimming, reading. Did I mention relaxing?
Oh, it sounds so good.
