Heirloom White Spring Bird ~

I took this red bird (that I think was originally green when I bought it)

 and painted it Heirloom White.
I then used a little Shanty2Chic Ralph Lauren glaze to add a little bit of depth.

I then added a pedestal and a bow, but wasn't in love with the look...

So I created a little nest for the guy

and perched he went.

I love it!

  1. How cute, Chelsea! I love it white! I have to get that glaze. My last trip to Home Depot I only saw the gallon cans. Love it in the vignette with the egg you did!

  8. I love it as well! I've been painting a ton of stuff white as well lately. And Spanish moss adds just the right "extra" to all things bird related. :)

  15. It is amazing what a little paint will do. I have some old Easter decorations that I haven't used in a couple of years and I am thinking I might spray paint them white and I might just fall in love with them all over again!
