My Mom and I hit one of the Seattle Goodwills last Friday and I was so excited about our boopie finds!
We found 5 more pieces to add to my - I guess - collection. So of course I had to Google these guys and here is what I found. The Berwick pattern, commonly referred to as "Boopie" was manufactured by Anchor Hocking from the 1950s to the 1970s. It came in Forest Green, Royal Ruby, Amber and Crystal. You can purchase them online for about 4-10 bucks per glass - but at Goodwill these babies are just .69 cents! I just love the base:
I also picked up a few books - these are great for stacking these all over the house.
And this little box for $1.99 - also loved the feet and details on this one.
So hold me back, apparently I have a thing for the "boopie"!
A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. Such great finds - you have a good eye! Ciao, bella!
ReplyDeleteThose are some sweet finds! I hadn't heard of Boopie glass before, but I'll be looking for it now. Those books are great, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful finds, they fit right into your home and make a lovely vignette on their own. (I thought you were making up words;))
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Chelsea! Those glasses are beautiful and I love those books!
ReplyDeleteOh my I see glasses like that all the time. I didn't know that's what they were called. Wish we lived closer I'd start collecting them for you, lol!
ReplyDeleteLove your stack of books, great condition too!
I never knew they were called boopie! How funny! My grandma had some of these that I remember from a child. Great buys!
ReplyDeleteWow, what great finds! I'd love to find pretties like these!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Great finds. I love the glass too, it is so fun and pretty. The books are a real find, I am always on the hunt for great ones. Love the little box too. You did find super treasures. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe your Goodwill still prices everything so inexpensively! The one down in Renton has figured out their prices were low so now I hardly find anything good (and cheap) there. Take advantage while you can!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and I am passing on an award to you...stop over to Pandora's Box and grab the button.

ReplyDeleteOh, Seattle? I am just south of you in Portland, OR. Good to know! And good to know I am not too far away from your treasure chest of Goodwills.
ReplyDeleteI love the Boopie glass, too. I have an over-sized collection of what I call the juice glasses. My favorite pieces in my collection are the salt & pepper shakers! Too cute :) And this stuff is reasonably priced, too!
