.99 Cent Dollar Trees Turned Glorious ~

I picked up three of these trees at the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago.

And I kept thinking - man these babies are bright. And then I saw Alyshia over at Let it Shine glazed hers and they looked great. So, I grabbed my Metallic Paint and rubbed on - rubbed off.

Then I painted these "knobs" gold...

Added a little Spanish moss, some sticks and stuff and whaala -

I added this project to DIY Day over at A Soft Place To Land.

Linked up to The Shabby Chic Cottage's Transformation Thursday.

  2. These look fabulous!! Very Elegant! I am going to have to go and see if they have any left. Everything is so picked over now.

And yes, the cloche I have with the present under it is the terrarium one! I just love it! I went back and bought two more to give as gifts! Thanks for the tip!

    Have a great day!

  5. I passed those by because I thought they were too shiny looking, but I love how you did the glaze on them, Chelsea. They look so much better! Love the knob at the top ~ that alone adds to them, but the fleur de lis is the cherry on top!

  14. Those look terrific! I saw them at the DT and thought the same thing - too bright. I wished I would have thought of glazing them then because I think they are sold out of that store now, I will have to check out some of the others.
