I picked up three of these trees at the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago.
And I kept thinking - man these babies are bright. And then I saw Alyshia over at Let it Shine glazed hers and they looked great. So, I grabbed my Metallic Paint and rubbed on - rubbed off.
Then I painted these "knobs" gold...
Added a little Spanish moss, some sticks and stuff and whaala -
I added this project to DIY Day over at A Soft Place To Land.

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the cloche I have with the present under it is the terrarium one! I just love it! I went back and bought two more to give as gifts! Thanks for the tip!

ReplyDeleteooooh, aaah, where did you get the fleur de lis? so, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI passed those by because I thought they were too shiny looking, but I love how you did the glaze on them, Chelsea. They look so much better! Love the knob at the top ~ that alone adds to them, but the fleur de lis is the cherry on top!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, love your candelstics but please, the word is voila not whaala.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great transformation. And I love the big bows on the candle sticks!
