Goodwill Table From Ugly to...

So do you remember this table I purchased at Goodwill a couple weeks ago?
Well here it is today!!!

I first primed it with spray primer and then sprayed it black. It was okay, but you could really see the texture underneath - I wasn't a fan. So I turned to my handy dandy hand sander and went to town! I think I may have taken a bit more than necessary off, but it sure was fun. Then I painted on black interior paint - I just like the finish better than the spray paint I was using. And sanded the edges...

I love the new table, and do you remember it was only $7.50!!!! Seriously, you have got to love Goodwill!

I added this link to the DIY Party over at A Soft Place to Land!

  5. great job on the table. but I have a question on the vinyl words above it. Did you do them yourself? Do you have a Cricut? I just got one and am looking for people who are doing home decor with theirs.
    Thanks.

  16. Great job! There's nothing like painting and then being disappointed because you needed to SAND after you'd PAINTED! Been there, done that. But your end results is gorgeous ... great job!

  23. Thank you for all of the wonderful comments! I still walk by it and think...Man - that was $7.50 well spent! The letters above the table actually came from Michael's and I think I used my 40% off coupon :).
